Charcoal
19 X 14"
This drawing consists of words that are all contronyms. They have two meanings, one of which contradicts or is opposite to the other. As in dust something off or dust it on. Fast can mean moving quickly or holding in a fixed place. Left can mean leaving something behind, or like table, left for later. Table can either mean "on the table" for discussion or table for later. As I was making the drawing it occurred to me that it was a drawing about its own creation. When I shaded with the charcoal it created dust that was then blown off the table fast and what was left was the drawing. Yet another work that revealed itself in it's making.
